CD cover

The influence of my CD cover and music video style is Eva Cassidy, as Sara Barielle's voice is very soft and this song is slow, very much like the majority of Eva Cassidy's. Due to Eva Cassidy dying, a lot of her videos were made with nobody singing the lyrics (obviously, because it was her singing) , and we chose to use this style for our music video aswell. We used this technique for our CD cover also, using another female's face, as if she were the singer.

We took many pictures of our model, such as;

We did not use this image as we have cut some of the models head off, and we can see a lot of her jumper which is not needed.

We did not use this image as it is slightly out of focus, which would make it harder to edit.

We did not use this image as, once again, some of the models head is cut off at the top, and we wanted her eyes to be pointing further towards the ground to create a sombre mood to the cover.

This is the image we decided to use, as we believe it looks calm, her eyes are pointing in the right direction, and her head is in the correct position.

I used Edwardian Script ITC font for the text on my cover, as I believed it fit the theme. I tried to keep my cover as simple as possible (a lot like Eva Cassidy's CD covers), so that it wasnt cluttered, therefore only having one image and two bits of text. I added the artists name to identify her, using the same font as the song title.
